For me, this is a very special exhibition; it is actually one large installation that you step into in the gallery's Black Room. All these works, functioning as independent pieces, together create a world of circus and sweets, of cheerfulness and laughter, while the uncanny nature of the situation lurks beneath the surface. I love that, and just as in ordinary life, the mill is sometimes unstoppable, and just goes round and round and round.... So step into my world, step into "The world is a circus. I realize now that I have been working with clown I realize now that I have been working with clown figures for a very long time, not only for my current exhibition at Galeria Isolina Arbulu. And especially the woman as clown: not being taken seriously, hiding behind a mask, acting 'lightheartedly', dismissing things with a joke, etc., etc. And while asking the question whether we want to join the circus...
