My work "Send in the clowns". It is knitted from My work "Send in the clowns". It is knitted from jute rope, a very stiff material. It has become a kind of garment; if it suits you to play the clown, you put it on. If you don't feel like it, you take it off and hang it on the coat rack. The way it is currently exhibited at Galeria Isolina Arbulu, it seems to have become a kind of Puppet Master. The clown who rules that world. Surrounding him are two female characters: one a kind of Ragdoll that hangs onto whatever you throw her down; she is very flexible. Yesterday was the opening of the exhibition "The C Yesterday was the opening of the exhibition "The Cat as Muse" at De Kappen, Haaksbergen, the Netherlands. Unfortunately, I could not be present myself, but I am very happy that my work "Crazy Cat Lady" has been sold and will be getting a new owner!
